Growing up in Bois Content, St. Catherine a small rural town in Jamaica was a wonderful experience, I was rather fortunate to experience the warmth of growing up with both parents and all my siblings. At a point in my elementary education I remember having to walk to school in tattered shoes because my parents couldn’t afford to change them often, this was quite an uneasy feeling. I promised my young self when I grow up, I’d buy myself very beautiful shoes and I stayed true to my word. One can own 100 pairs of shoes but still not have the right essential mix of shoes for all occasions. Id like to share my list of top 10 shoes every woman needs to have in their closet.
This is a classic you can never go wrong with, and it can be dressed down or up. It can be paired with a formal office wear, a little dress, skinny jeans etc. No matter how you style them, it always makes you stand out. A woman in stilettos will always look sophisticated and stylish.
I’d recommend nude color because, its easy to blend with many other colors. My favorite brand for this pick is Sam Edelman. They are carefully crafted and durable with an elegant look. Stepping into these heels gives a sexy and effortlessly fly look. Trust me it will instantly elevate your outfit.
This is a good pick for spring and summer seasons. I personally gravitate towards pink, orange, blue, and red when i want a bold edgy look. They say variety is the spice of life, it won’t hurt to throw in some colored shoes in your shoe collection. You will need it to compliment certain color of dress someday. I personally have a thing for bright bold colors, and I guess the Islander in me is to be blamed. Bright colors remind me of home.
This is one easy way to attain a sleek and modern look. My favorite is the transparent open toe heeled sandals. Pairing it is easy and I feel very lush anytime I put it on.
Omg! Wedges are a spring/summer staple and can be worn with any and everything and still have that chic look. When styled with a romper or midi dress the look is breath taking.
My sixth must have is the loafer and I personally own 4 of these, black, nude, and leopard print. I am not saying you should own 4 too. I wear them quite often the reason why.... I thought it wise to have a variety. Its perfect for work and running errands around town.
Preferably white or black and white sneakers is a must have. They can be worn with absolutely everything. It gives that sassy dress down look.

It can be matched with jeans and dresses, i'd advice you opt for neutral colors like black, brown, beige, coffee or tan. You will need it most in fall and early spring.
