Some of the trend setters in the handbag industry are the top names Channel, Hermes, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton etc, it’s no surprise it will take you back a couple thousands of dollars to get you one of these brands. If you are fortunate to be financial stable and can afford them, go for it, if not you don’t have to lose an arm and a leg to own one of those pieces. I will personally not encourage anyone to purchase a knock-off of any big brand, building your personal style means maintaining originality and being true to yourself. There are equally stylish, well-crafted, unique and quality brands that are affordable. I want to share with you some of these brand that I personally own and I hope you check them out.

Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff

This is one of my favorite handbag designers, she makes quality, stylish and affordable bags. I’ve collected a few of her clutches, totes, and crossbody bags. Most of the pieces I have collected from this brand I value highly, I mostly use them for date nights.

Kate Spade

Kate Spade

This brand is my number 2 preferred bag brand, their bags remind me of old Hollywood classics with a modern touch. Kate Spade makes signature style pieces with quality leather and wonderful finishing.

Zac Posen

Zac Posen

This designer makes bags and purses that scream glamour and fine craftsmanship, this brand is best known for its unique trapeze shaped bags, I don’t regret acquiring a couple of these affordable beauties.

Valentina

Valentina

They design some of the finest genuine leather bags I know. This brand makes some expensive bags, but they also have a few below $500 and that is a steal. I prefer to rock my Valentina bags for a rather semi-casual outing.

Michael Kors

Micheal Kors

Michael Kors is a brand many people have mixed feelings about, because it’s one of the most imitated brands. However, they have some pieces that are unique and beautiful. I would suggest that when buying a Michael Kors opt for the ones without the 'MK' monogram all over it. I have a couple of MK bags and trust me the original ones hold up very well.
